Abstract
Texture is one of the important issues in DirectX 3D programming. This presentation explores some major texture managements of Microsoft DirectX 3D graph programming in C#, including Texture Transparency, Texture Blending, Texture Operations, Rendering to texture, CubeTexturing, Texture Dot3 Product and VolumeTexture. Use those texture operations, we can produce many great graphics effect, such as masking one image by another one, image fading, bumping texture, fur texture, rendering to texture, Environment mapping, 3-dimensional texture for terrain and Fireworks explosion. However, in order make those texture operations possible running, the user’s video device (Graphic Processing Unit) must be good enough, such as Pixel Shader Version 2.
