44th Annual Conference

2 - 4 October in Austin, Texas

What Is ACET?

The Association for Computer Educators in Texas (ACET) was founded in 1964. Our members includes faculty, staff, and administrators from high schools, colleges and universities from across Texas.

ACET's focus on offering education and training for high school, college and university faculty, staff, and administrators allows us to present an annual conference at an extremely low cost.  Our annual conferences travel to various parts of the state. The 2008 conference will held in Austin.  For more information please visit the Conference section of this web site.

ACET was the driving force behind the implementation of computer literacy education in Texas public schools beginning in 1981.  Our position paper presented to the Texas State Legislature in March of 1981 prompted funding for computer literacy education in Texas schools.
