General Information

Theme: The central theme of the conference is BACK to the FUTURE. How do we address the issue of the back to the basics movement with the need to move in to the future by teaching cutting edge technology such as client server, Internet, etc.? The audience will be made up primarily of computer / information technology faculty and administrators from Texas higher education and K-12.

Location: The 1996 conference will be held at the Austin North Hilton and Towers, 6000 Middle Fiskville Road (near I-35 and 290E). Map

Registration Fees: Conference registration is $70 for main Conference (Oct 4-5). The fee for the Pre-Conference (Oct 3) Seminar is $25. See Conference Registration Form for more detail.

Hotel: Arrangements have been made for conference attendees to stay at the Austin North Hilton and Towers at the State per diem rate (currently $55 for single and $85 for double). To insure the State per diem rates, reservations must be made no later than September 18, 1996.

Dress: The recommended dress for this year's conference is "Business Casual".
